Safe Rx Disposal

How can safe disposal help the community? Prescription drugs cause the largest percentage of deaths from
overdosing in America. An estimated 18 million people have misused prescription medications at least once in the past year.
Removing unused, unwanted or expired medications from your home will help reduce the chances of drug abuse or accidental overdose.

Knox County offers three 24/7 medication disposal boxes for community disposal. Additionally, KSAAT coordinates two annual Rx take back days on the 4th Saturday in April and October. Please safely dispose of your medications.
